Privacy Policy

The Clearing Studio ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. We've designed our analytics to be privacy-first: we don't use tracking cookies, we don't build advertising profiles, and we don't track you across other websites.
What we collect
When you request a free reading or purchase a reading, we collect:
- Your birthdate — used to generate your reading.
- Your email address — used to deliver your reading and (only if you opt in or purchase) to send occasional follow-ups.
- Any context you provide — questions or notes about your current season — used to personalize the reading.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details.
- Privacy-first analytics — to understand which content and channels are working, we record aggregate events (a free reading was viewed, a purchase happened) along with the referring link, the marketing campaign tag in the link (UTM), your device type and browser, and a country derived from your IP address. We do not store your IP address, we do not set tracking cookies, and we do not use advertising pixels. To count visitors without identifying anyone, we use a one-way, salted code that cannot be reversed to identify you and that rotates regularly.
How we use it
- To generate and deliver your reading.
- To process your payment via Stripe.
- To send the reading by email.
- To follow up about The Clearing Studio's other offerings (only if you opt in or have purchased).
- To understand which ads and pages are working.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the third-party services required to run this site:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — email delivery.
- Anthropic — the AI service that helps generate the narrative reading. Your birthdate and any context you provide are sent to Anthropic to produce the reading; Anthropic's API is designed not to train on customer data.
Our analytics are first-party — the data stays with us and is not fed to any advertising network. We do not sell your data. Ever.
Data retention
We retain your order and reading in our database so you can re-access it if needed and so we can respond to support requests. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us — see Contact below.
Your rights
You can:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations to retain transaction records).
- Unsubscribe from any marketing email with the link at the bottom of those emails.

Cookies and tracking
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics are cookieless and aggregate — we measure overall trends (how many readings, which channels convert) without profiling individuals or following you across the web. If we run paid advertising in the future and need to measure ad conversions, we will update this policy before doing so.
Children
This service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The current version always lives at this URL.
